New mixed competition coming to Friday nights at Shockwave Rebound Volleyball! Competing in a Premier or Challenger division, teams of 4 will compete in this 8 week competition to take out a cash prize.
How will it work?
Each division will have up to 8 teams competing throughout the 8 weeks. Each team will play every team in the division followed by finals. All teams will then play on Saturday 21 August to battle it out for the top 2 winners of each division!
How much does it cost?
The cost is $150 per person ($600 per team) for the season and must be paid prior to the competition starting.

What is the cash prize?
Premier Cash Prize – 1st place $1,600 and 2nd place $800.
Challenger Cash Prize – 1st place $400 and 2nd place $200.
When will the games be?
Games will be held between 7pm and 10pm on Fridays. Teams competing in this competition will need to ensure they can attend games within this time period.
Will there be umpires?
Each team competing will have rostered duties throughout the competition to umpire the games in this competition.
Rules of the Game
This competition will follow standard Shockwave Rebound Volleyball rules with the following changes:
- On the serve, the ball can touch the middle net and go over.
- On the serve, opposing players can hit straight back as long as it’s not an attacking shot.
Games will run for 3 x 14 minute sets.
Points
Points will be allocated as follows:
- Win = 3 points
- Draw = 2 points
- Loss = 1 points
- Forfeit = 0 points
- Bonus Points = 1 point per 10 points on the board
